Become a spider

There has been a recent change in membership qualifications!! The spiders are looking to stay close knit so we're only opening memberships up to people who live in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area and are friends with a current spider. It's important to us to meet our fellow spiders and keep involved in each other's projects and websites. The only way to become a spider is to get an invitation from a current spider who you consider a friend. Do you know a spider already? Tell her you're interested in joining the group! We'll start you at the ground level of spider involvement.

This membership includes:

  1. The site list on the homepage.
  2. The spidersknit "ground-floor" meetup and events mailing list. These emails center around special spidersknit content which can include (but is not limited to) information about spidersknit.org upgrades, spidersknit events and specials.
  3. The spidersknit webring (optional). The spidersknit webring is a scripted list of all the spiders. When the script is added to your homepage, visitors to your site can click on the webring navigation to visit other spiders on the web. It's a great way to bring added traffic to your site and point your users to other spiders who share the same interest as you!

Please note that our linking policy has changed and that we now require reciprocal linking. This means that if we link to you, you should link back to us, whether it's a text link or a button on your site. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
